So, let’s get cracking and start taking a close look at Elevate by Bulk Powders to see where this particular pre workout supplement stands in a crowded market.

Bulk Powders Elevate – The Basics

You’ve probably already realised that Elevate fits into the broader range of supplements known as pre workouts.

If you’re new to them, they’re simply products that have been designed for you to take before the gym or playing sport which can help to support you through periods of exercise.

On the official website, Bulk Powders say that Elevate has been specifically formulated with 12 “potently dosed” ingredients to help support your health and fitness goals.

Like the vast majority of pre workout supplements, Elevate comes in a flavoured powder that’s designed to be mixed with water and consumed as a drink before your exercise session.

Elevate contains 12 different active ingredients in its formula, and it’s available in a selection of different flavours.

The various flavours of Elevate on offer include:

• Cherry Cola
• Orange and Mango
• Summer Berry

At the time of writing, Elevate is available in 660g pouches, and costs around £30 from the official Bulk Powders website.

So, now that we’ve covered some of the basic things you need to know about Elevate, it’s time to start taking a closer look at the ingredients formula.

The Ingredients

Let’s start by looking at the actual ingredients label of Elevate. This is the formula shown on Amazon.com at the time of writing, but it’s worth bearing in mind that the ingredients may change from time to time.

Let’s now run through some of the main ingredients in the Elevate Bulk Powders formula.

• Caffeine – This ingredient needs no introduction really. Caffeine is one of the most popular stimulants on the planet, and each serving of Bulk Powders Elevate contains 200mg. To put this dose into context, you’d expect to find around 200mg of Caffeine in a regular cup of coffee.

• Citrulline Malate – This is an amino acid extract from watermelon which is a very popular inclusion in pre workout supplements. Each dose of Elevate contains 5g of Citrulline Malate.

• Beta Alanine – Beta Alanine is another very popular pre workout supplement ingredient. It’s found in a lot of the top products in this category, and Bulk Powders Elevate contains 3.5g of Beta Alanine per serving.

• Vitargo® – This is a branded ingredient that is a key inclusion in the Elevate Bulk Powders formula. The official product page on the Bulk Powders site describes it as the “ultimate sports performance carbohydrate, specifically chosen for its low molecular weight.” Each serving of Elevate contains 10g of Vitargo per serving.

• Vitamin B6 – You probably already know that Vitamin B6 is an important nutrient that we need to get from our diets. In case you didn’t know, Vitamin B6 helps with normal energy release and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

• Taurine – This is a popular ingredient found in a lot of commercially-available energy drinks. Each serving of Elevate contains 2.5g of Taurine.

BioPerine® – BioPerine® is essentially branded black pepper extract. Lots of the supplements in this and other categories include it in small doses, because it is claimed to help with the absorption of some of the other ingredients.

It’s worth pointing out that Bulk Powders Elevate does not use a proprietary blend, which means that we know the exact doses of each and every ingredient on the label.

Side Effects

As always, we strongly recommend that you speak to your doctor before taking any new supplement for the first time.

One of the key ingredients in the Bulk Powders Elevate formula is the stimulant Caffeine. As mentioned above, each serving of Elevate contains 200mg of Caffeine.

If you are sensitive to stimulants or are already consuming a lot of Caffeine from other sources, it’s probably best to avoid taking Elevate.

Similarly, because of the Caffeine content, it’s probably best not to take this supplement within six hours of when you plan to go to sleep.

It’s always a good idea to carefully check the label of any supplement you’re thinking of buying and doing some of your own research before taking it for the first time.

There is a warning on the label about the high Caffeine content in this supplement (67mg/100ml). The label also says that this supplement is not recommended for children or pregnant or breast-feeding women.

There is another warning related to the Caffeine content on the label, saying that you should not exceed two scoops in a 24-hour period – and that you should exercise caution if consuming with other Caffeine containing products as Elevate contains 200mg of Caffeine per serving.

How To Take Elevate

Each pouch of Elevate weighs 660g, which is the equivalent of 20 servings.

The directions on the official Bulk Powders website say that you should mix one level scoop (33g) with 300ml water and shake well in a Shaker Bottle.

The instructions then say that you should consume the drink around 30 to 45 minutes before exercise, ideally on an empty stomach.

We always say to experiment with the timings, because each supplement tends to ‘kick in’ for different people at different times.

Is This The Best Pre Workout?

Anything Else To Consider?

Remember that a pre workout supplement won’t do the hard work for you.

You’ll still have to make sure that you’re focused and working hard in the gym.

We always recommend that you first get your training and nutrition regime on point before considering adding a new supplement to your stack.

Food supplements are not intended to replace a varied, balance diet and a healthy overall lifestyle.

However, they can help to provide some support on your health and fitness journey when used in a sensible way and combined with the right lifestyle choices.

As we mentioned above, we also recommend that you speak to your doctor, or a certified medical professional, before taking any new supplement or making any major lifestyle changes.

Pros And Cons

Let’s now weigh up some of the pros and cons when it comes to Elevate by Bulk Powders.

Pros:
• Reputable brand
• Good selection of ingredients
• Three flavours to choose from

Cons:
• Not Vegan friendly
• The 200mg Caffeine per dose may be a bit much for some people

Conclusion – Our Final Thoughts

So that brings us to an end of our review of Elevate by Bulk Powders.

Overall, we think that Elevate Bulk Powders is a pretty good pre workout supplement that contains a range of the ingredients you’d hope to find in a good quality product.

It’s worth noting the significant Caffeine content in each serving (200mg). Because of this use of Caffeine, it may be best to avoid this supplement if you are sensitive to stimulants or are already consuming a lot of Caffeine from other sources.

One slight downside about this supplement is that it’s not suitable for Vegans, although it is Vegetarian friendly.
