Built for Athletes write on their website that their HERO backpacks are the benchmark for gym bags.

You can be confident that your HERO backpack will withstand any test thrown at it thanks to the hard-wearing construction.

Built for Athletes write online that their HERO backpack is waterproof and rip-proof.

Inside the backpack, the laser-cut Molle provides space for a laptop, shoes, meal-prep box, protein shaker and much more.

The clam-shall design allows for gym goers to easily pack or unpack.

With 180° opening, you have easy access when it comes to fitting all your gym clothes and accessories in the bag along with other items you might need for your work.

You won’t have to worry about sweaty gear or wet towels because the bag is water resistant.

It comes in 45 litre and 25 litre so you can opt for whatever size best suits your needs.

The Fit, Feel And Style

Built for Athletes HERO 2.0 can easily fit everything you need for day-to-day life.

If you like to go to gym before you head to your office or shared workspace, there’s room for workout outfits as well as your work clothes.

Unlike other gym bags that we’ve previously encountered, Built for Athletes HERO 2.0 has two drink holders. So you have room for your protein shake and water bottle.

The way the backpack is designed means it still feels comfortable to wear even when it’s full.

It has straps that are padded so you feel like you’ve got support even if your HERO 2.0 is well-packed.

The appearance is striking – you’ll make a statement with HERO 2.0.

Price And Where To Buy

Built for Athletes HERO 2.0 backpack is available to buy directly on their website. The 45L backpack costs £89.99, while the 25L backpack is slightly cheaper at £79.99.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• Size – lots of space
• Can fit everything you need and more
• Comfortable to wear
• Customisable
• Abundance of pockets for organisation

Cons

• Size – only buy the 45L size if you have a lot to carry all the time. It doesn’t get much smaller like some of the other ‘roll down’ models on the market. If you don’t carry a lot in your backpack, perhaps opt for 25L version.

• Lots of straps – Makes sense for hiking or outdoor activities but perhaps not for your daily commute.

What Are Customers Saying?

John felt that the backpack was a good investment.

Best backpack I have ever purchased. Well made and lots of storage space. The patch section allows for personalization and is a nice plus. Worth the money!

Shane loved the versatility of the bag.

I’m very happy with this bag, strong and can carry everything I need and still has space over, loads of pockets so great for keeping gear organised, to be honest, it’s a bag that will do it all.

Our Verdict

This bag is a game changer for someone like me who heads to the gym first thing in the morning, then off to work, and out again in the evening, (that’s 3 outfit changes + 2 pairs of shoes).

You can easily fit everything you could possibly need and more. The multiple pockets allows you to be organised and have the things you need most at easy reach- there is nothing worse than trying to find your purse right at the bottom of your overstuffed bag… and the addition of a laptop space is invaluable when working remotely and hot-desking.

I also really appreciate the double drink holder (one on each side): one for your water bottle and the other for your shaker. It’s genius. The bag is multi-purpose and could easily be used for day-to-day but would also be brilliant for travelling/ backpacking.

Even when full, the bag is really comfortable to wear given the padding and supportive straps. The range of bag designs/colours to choose from is vast and the patch customisation element is great. There is something for everyone!

The ‘initial’ patches were the ones for me and as they are backed with Velcro you can change things up and keep it fresh. This bag is honestly great. I am keen to get myself the small size next!

Anything Else To Consider?

Built for Athletes have a range of options for all gym goers, fitness enthusiasts and hikers.

You can customise your Built for Athletes backpack thanks to their patches. While the patches do cost extra, it gives you the ability to stamp your personality on the bag.
