Assaidi came with a great reputation after signing from Dutch outfit Heerenveen in 2012. He had a respectable goal tally and big things were expected of the then 24-year-old wide-man. The Moroccan spent three years at Liverpool FC and was a regular on the substitute’s bench but never made the breakthrough. He hung up his boots for good in 2019.
